SPAR: 118 tons of food in the ”To Give is a joy” campaign

Between 15th and 20th December 2009, SPAR supermarket’s stores gave place to the ”To Give is a joy” campaign of the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service for the 14th time.

The joint pre-Christmas food donation action of the SPAR Group and the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service has a more than a decade of tradition.
The willingness to donate did not decreased because of the crisis. The majority of customers were already waiting for the start of the action. In 6 days, 118 tonnes of food was collected in the Spar stores in a value of around 50 million HUF. This is the same as the previous year's results – reports Spar.
