In Spain, the rise in consumer prices accelerated in February.
The Spanish Statistics Office (INE) announced on Tuesday that instead of the 6.1 percent in the preliminary estimate, inflation rose to 6.0 percent year-on-year after 5.9 percent in January.
According to INE, the acceleration of consumer price increases was primarily caused by the increase in food prices.
In February, consumer prices rose by 0.9 percent compared to January, when they registered a monthly decrease of 0.2 percent.
