Tomato battle with 160 tonnes of vegetables in Spain
Tens of thousands of festival-goers will battle with 160 tonnes of over-ripe tomatoes to celebrate the 71st anniversary of the massive food fight in the small town of Bunol in eastern Spain.
For the 71st tomato battle, the organizers expect 22 thousand people. The number of rhe participants was limited three years ago, due to excessive interest. The tomatoes will be poured into the crowd from a truck. A few days before the real battle children, the children version of the tomato battle will be held as well with 8 tonnes of tomatoes.
