Spain received 75 percent fewer tourists in July than last year
Most people (597,000) came from neighboring France in the seventh month of the year, 58 percent less than in July 2019. 432,000 German tourists and 377,000 British tourists chose it as a destination, which is a decline of 65 percent for the former and 82 percent for the latter.
The number one destination for travelers was the Balearic Islands, followed by the coastal provinces of Catalonia and Valencia. The decline in tourists on the islands was 75 percent, while in Catalonia 81.6 in Valencia there were 69 percent fewer visitors from abroad in July.
