Beer Association: quarterly beer consumption can increase by millions of mugs

Beer consumption has increased over the last few days, the breweries are operating with full capacity, and if the heat persists, several million tankards more beers can be consumed in this quarter – director of the Hungarian Brewers Association (MSSZ) told MTI.

Schillinger Attila recalled that in the hot year of 2015, 173,000 hectoliters more, ie 11 percent more beer was consumed in Hungary in the third quarter than in the same period of the previous year. He added that by the end of the summer, a similar expansion is expected this year. (MTI)
