Swine fever: negotiations to mitigate sanctions
Bognár Lajos, the national chief veterinarian took part in negotiations again in order to alleviate international trade sanctions due to the appearance of African swine fever (ASF) in Hungary – agrarszektor.hu wrote. The World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) has renewed several important provisions for ASF.
The World Health Organization held its Annual General Meeting in Paris on 20-25 May – the Ministry of Agriculture told. The OIE has renewed several provisions that are relevant to African swine fever. The reinforced international directive continues to lay down the limitations on the introduction of animal health epidemics to the entire territory of the country concerned but only to a specific region of the country concerned.
