Heineken has acquired a brewery in the Czech Republic
The global brewer said that it has bought Krusovice Brewery from Germany's Radeberger Gruppe for an undisclosed fee.
The transaction is expected to complete in September,
subject to clearance from competition authorities, and should be earnings
enhancing next year and value enhancing in 2010. Heineken currently owns
Starobrno Brewery in the Czech Republic, with production facilities in Brno and
Znojmo in the South Moravia region. The brewery brews Starobrno, Hostan and Zlaty
Bazant brands and imports Heineken, and has a domestic market share of more
than 5%.
