Sunflower instead of beer

Already this year, a Belgian group can start the production of high oilacid sunflowerm, in the building of the former brewery, in Komárom.

It is planned, that every year, 20 thousand tons of crops will be processed. For this purpose, in 2008 the Belgian company, that bought the former brewery building, transformed it with a  30 million euros investment.
First germ oil will be produced in the factory, then sunflower oil production will start, with the processing of raw materials taken from the surroundings of Szabadegyháza – reports Kemma.hu.
