The first Festival Expo is organized in Sopron
With the aim of creating a tradition, the first Festival Expo will be held at SopronFest between April 27 and 30. Organized by the Shipyard, the Hungarian Tourism Program Foundation (MTPA) and VOLT Produkció, the aim of the program is for the organizers of domestic festivals to meet at the beginning of the festival season and show what can be expected at the festivals taking place in many parts of the country in the coming months – the organizers told MTI.
The program of the Festival Expo is open to the public, every day from noon to 2 p.m. in the Liszt center, the festival organizers present their plans for this year for 10 minutes each. The announcement quotes Norbert Lobenwein, the founder of FesztivélExpó, who pointed out that in the summer, festivals all over the country collide, and that going to festivals now fulfills the role of a vacation, regardless of age group, and is also very important for tourism.
It is almost as important that representatives of the profession meet at a festival when they have the opportunity and time to talk to each other – he pointed out, adding that he hopes that SopronFest, which is one of the first festivals of the year, is a good opportunity for all of this.
