Wildlife management success in Soponya
Hungary’s largest venison processor the Soponya-based Vadex Zrt. closes year 2012 with significant results.
The Soponya-based company this year buys about 1500 tons of wild animals in Hungary and in abroad beside the hunted and bought wild animals from its own territory. Csehkis Imre, manager of the venison processing plant, said that 60 percent of the import is wild boar.
After processing in Hungary their products are marketed in abroad. In Hungary, the annual consumption of venison meat is 1 kilogram per capita. (by our colleague)
