Miklós Soltész: the fifth Nationalities Gastronomy Festival has opened

Miklós Soltész said at the opening of the festival, which took place under the patronage of the Prime Minister’s Office, that the State Secretariat always tries to organize the event in the middle of the country, so that nationalities can come from as many places as possible.

He added:

“When I looked at one of the tents, it turned out that the nationalities were from two parts of the country, the Romanian nationality from the easternmost, who came from Békés County, and the Slovenians from the westernmost, Zala and Vas County”.

Miklós Soltész spoke about how this whole coexistence shows that nationalities live together in peace in Hungary, their culture is important to all of us, and within that culture, the gastronomic tradition itself.

He said: thank you very much for presenting this to us year after year.

“For those of us who are trying to bring this together, our task and duty is to help all those who live their lives as nationalities to be peaceful and good citizens of the country and to be able to preserve their traditions for decades and centuries. So far, we have done everything we can to this end, and we will continue to do so,”
