More hens, less pigs
The number of pigs in Hungary decreased by about 20,000 compared to a year ago, and by nearly 32,000 compared to December last year. The number of hens increased by 300,000 and the number of cattle increased by 13,000 in a year – according to the Central Statistical Office ).
On June 1, there were 2.84 million pigs, 35.05 million hens, and 893,000 cattle in Hungary. The 1,116 million sheep stock has fallen by 48,000, compared to a year ago, but has risen by 7,000 compared to December last year. (hirado.hu)
