Startmobil: smartphone, as we see it now
Nearly a quarter of adult internet users keep a smartphone in their pockets – Róbert Pintér's lecture informed us at the Startmobil 2011 conference. The expert got into details about a number of other surveys besides his own reasearch, and based on this data, approxiamely 800 thousand users own a smartphone. However, the concept of smartphone is harder to define than way may think.
According to a guess by IDC, 1.3 million smartphones are being used in the HIungarian market, and the penetration among the 18-49 year-old population is 18 percent at the moment. According to Xallis, penetration among those older than 14 is about 20 percent, and Ipsos believes that 24 percent of internet-users over 18 use a smartphone on a regular basis.
