Slaughter pig’s price continued to decrease
According to data from the Central Statistical Office (KSH), in January 2018 agricultural production prices were 2.1 percent higher than in the same period of 2017. This rise was the result of the price of vegetable products growing by 2.6 percent and livestock/products of animal origin prices increasing by 1.4 percent from the base period level. Cereal crops cost 11 percent more, but slaughter pig’s price dropped 11 percent to HUF 342/kg. //
