Spirit Gems from around the Globe
Be it whisk(e)y, vodka, gin or calvados – in addition to those renowned classics the suppliers also have a host of extraordinary specialities of regional distilleries in the pipeline. The spirits area at ProWein has a plethora of high-proof innovations in store. Now that the presentation of the California Wine Institute has become a traditional fixture at ProWein, 2010 saw a group from New York join the range for the first time and this year the US range will be extended to include joint stands from the states of Washington and Oregon. And while Israel presents its great wines under the motto “Clear Strength, Rich Spices”, chocolatière Sabine Pauly invites visitors to “Sensual Seductions” made of chocolate and exquisite Vallendar distilled beverages.
