The 3rd Short Supply Chain (SSC) Organizers’ Day According to the message of the REL Organizers Day, Hungary is at the forefront of civil support and advice for short supply chains. In our country, great emphasis is placed on preserving the values of local producers and local products. The driving forces of supply chains – market organizers, members and organizers of basket communities, producers and all those who create a connection between consumers and producers – play a key role in the organization and operation of REL.
“REL organizers are local heroes whose task is to help small producers sell on the market and implement as diversified activities as possible, thanks to which they can stand on more solid ground”
– emphasized Katalin Kujáni, president of the Kislépték Association, in her welcoming speech. According to her, the aim of the event is to ensure knowledge transfer and strengthen the domestic REL organizer and consultant network for the development of the countryside and the flourishing of the markets. The event was co-organized by Andrea Kövesd, CEO of Trebag Kft., Balázs Csáki, President of the National Chamber of Agriculture in Nógrád County, who sells his products directly to consumers as a beekeeper, and Károly Schmiedt, Mayor of Magyarnándor. Csaba Fieszl, Professional Director of the Rural and Regional Development Support Unit, highlighted that 21 thousand small producers in Hungary provide quality food and products for Hungarian consumers.
