The FoodTechShow ended successfully
The National Chamber of Agriculture and Food Industry’s 2025 FoodTechShow event was held with great interest. The event, which attracted more than 600 visitors, is an outstanding professional forum for the domestic food industry, where the latest technological, environmental and economic trends were in focus this time.
The National Chamber of Agriculture and Food Industry organized the FoodTechShow for the second time, which this year took place in the Terminal 1 Airport Event Center in the spirit of environmental and economic sustainability.
47 exhibitors presented their latest machines and digital solutions within the framework of FoodTechShow 2025. A total of 103 technological and software developments were visible and available for study at the event, which clearly demonstrates the technological breadth of the event and the active interest and participation of industry players.
Following the global approach, the more than 600 visitors were able to learn about sustainable packaging solutions, the possibilities of optimal water use and food waste reduction, and the future-shaping role of the LEAN approach in the industry during ten professional presentations held in two thematic sections. In addition, the experts presented how digitalization can contribute to increasing resource efficiency and how green financing instruments can support sustainable developments.
The “FTS25 GreenTechAward” − Sustainability Champion Award was presented for the first time in three categories during the event, with which NAK recognizes domestic food industry enterprises that combine innovation and sustainability in an exemplary manner. The Sustainability Champion award was won by Virgin Oil Press Kft./Grapoila in the small and medium-sized enterprise category, OSI Food Solutions Hungary Kft. in the large enterprise category, and Auchan Magyarország Kft. in the wholesaler category. The NAK awarded Zala-Cereália Kft. with a special award for its outstanding activities.
The implementation of sustainability is unthinkable without the food industry. The food systems of the future will be shaped by businesses that reduce their ecological footprint, implement renewable and circular solutions, and use digital tools to make their operations transparent and more efficient.
You can read about the businesses that made it to the second round of the GreenTechAward in the Special Issue of the Food Industry Magazine.
