The Budapest Gyógyfürdői és Hévizei Zrt closed a successful summer season
Budapest Gyógyfürdői és Hévizei Zrt. closed a successful summer season, the number of visitors was similar to the year before, but the sales revenue was more than double that of 2022 and the planned one, the company told MTI.
In the three summer months, the number of visitors to the spas and beaches exceeded 1.2 million, roughly the same as the number of visitors in 2022. The income for the months between June and August this year was more than HUF 6.6 billion, 125 percent more than the same period in 2022, and 116 percent more than planned.
The heat wave that broke out in mid-July and lasted until the end of August significantly corrected the traffic of the beach season, which had a difficult start this year. On weekend days, there was already the usual traffic on the Palatine with 6-7 thousand beachgoers, the number of people wishing to bathe exceeded 4 thousand even on weekdays. The situation was similar on all beaches: Csillaghegy, Római, Pünkösdfürdő, Paskál and Pesterzsébet as well – they wrote.
