Swine fever was detected in Sepsiszentgyörgy
About sixty pigs are to be killed in the Őrkő district of Sepsiszentgyörgy, where the appearance of African swine fever (ASP) was confirmed at the end of last week – Agerpres reported referring to Sikó Barabási Sándor, the head of the Veterinary Directorate of County Covasna on Monday.
The tests carried out on Friday proved that two swines had died of African swine fever. It turned out that the pigs were not included in the register of the Animal Health Directorate, mostly fed with food waste from dumps. (MTI)
