Sephora To Open In-Store Cosmetics Shops ít M&S in UK
The possible joint venture would be based on a model employed by Sephora in the US, where it has shop-in-shops with JC Penney.
Marks & Spencer is in provisional talks with LVMH's Sephora about opening cosmetics and perfume shops within the UK retailer's stores. The tie-up would allow M&S to significantly increase its presence in the UK's £6bn cosmetics market. The deal would also allow Sephora, which was once owned by UK health and beauty chain Boots, to regain a foothold in the UK market after it quit the country in 2005. The French chain has more than 500 shops in 14 countries.
