Rudolf Semsei, founder and owner of the Semsei Gastronomy group of companies, received the Special Award for Manager of the Year for Society
The Manager of the Year awards were presented on Thursday at the 30th gala of the Hungarian Managers’ Association, including the Special Award for Society, which this year went to Rudolf Semsei, founder and owner of the Semsei Gastronomy group of companies, which employs 460 people.

Rudolf Semsei received the award from Andrea Istenesné Solti, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shell Hungary
They inspire and encourage cooperation – these are the unquestionable common characteristics of the awardees of the 30th Manager of the Year Award Gala of the Hungarian Management Association. At this year’s anniversary event, outstanding examples were once again presented to the nearly half a thousand domestic leaders who attended as guests.
The luminaries of the Hungarian business world celebrated together at the association’s most prestigious social event. Shell Hungary, as a sponsor of the awards gala, together with the Hungarian Managers’ Association, has for years been recognizing a leader who, in addition to his business goals, is also actively working for the well-being of the local community and sets an example with his outstanding social work with the Manager of the Year for Society special award.
“The Manager of the Year for Society special award recognizes leaders who work for their communities and stand up for good causes. Rudolf Semsei, while building a successful Hungarian brand as a caterer, at the same time, as the first domestic hot meal rescuer, delivered 50 thousand portions of food from his events to those in need. The Shell Hungary awardee is thus setting the best example of how we can share the success of our business with as many people as possible,” said Andrea Istensné Solti, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Shell Hungary, at the award ceremony.
Shell Hungary and this year’s awardee share the same values, investing in the future through sustainability and supporting young generations. The company, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, believes that business success and social responsibility are inseparable. In line with this belief, it prioritizes supporting local communities and cultivates partnerships with several Hungarian organizations that go back decades.
