Apple growers can expect help
The decree that will help the apple growers is under preparation. This year's record crop and the combined effect of the Russian embargo resulted in the record low price of the fruit.
Nearly 800 thousand tonnes of apple crop is expected. 70 percent of the crop is for the industry, and the rest will have eating quality. Nagy István Parliamentary Minister of State told Hír Televízió (News Television) that the farmers can expect for the help of the government and experts are working to grant help within the framework of the European Union.
