Herz Salami can get helping hand
It is expected that within two weeks, the government will discuss the 30 billion HUF loan construction package to help the big food companies struggling with financing problems.
Herz can also get credit, if the company meets all the conditions – stated Gőgös Zoltán, secretary of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to MTI. The company dismissed 130 workers in the last days. According to the management, the production is very resource intensive, becaiuse a salami’s ripening period is 3 months, the turnover comes slowly but this period need to be financed too. If the help arrives there will be no further redundancies and possibly additional man power may be required. The company produces 7,000 tonnes of meat per year, and currently operates with more than 350 employees, which may increases up to 500 at peak hours.
