Help for fattened bull keepers
On Friday, the payment of more than one billion forints allocated to support financed from the national budget related to the keeping of fattened bulls in the beef sector will begin.

The 2023 frame amount of the temporary national support for fattened bulls is HUF 1.01 billion, which enables farmers to pay HUF 15,000 per basic entitlement. The Hungarian State Treasury will start the transfers for a total of about 4,300 producers on Friday.
The affected livestock keepers will receive the support after the updated basic entitlements, the determination of which could be requested during the submission period of the uniform applications in 2023.
The beef cattle sector is a significant export sector and employer, in 2023 it generated a total value of HUF 145.4 billion, the export revenue of live cattle and beef in the first 10 months of 2023 was 209 million euros. The source provides liquidity assistance to maintain production capacities.
