Sára Botond: laboratory testing of the quality of products related to the Easter holiday and inspections of commercial units and fairs are underway
As Easter approaches, the government office is conducting special inspections at commercial units and fairs: they are checking raw ham, fruit juices and products related to the Easter holiday – the Lord Mayor of Budapest announced in a video uploaded to her social media page on Wednesday.
Sára Botond said that the other part of the inspections is specifically taking place at fairs and commercial units.
The government office checks whether the pricing and the information on this are appropriate
– she added.
Furthermore, if there is a sale, they also check whether the information is appropriate, whether the customer knows exactly what the price of the sale product is, and how complaints are handled – she said.
Sára Botond indicated that since the inspections had already started earlier, they already have experience: basically, it can be said that the traders are following the rules – she stated.
He said the irregularities identified so far were minimal and confirmed that the special inspection related to the Easter holiday period will be maintained until Easter Monday.
