Shanghai has been voted the “smartest” city in the world this year at the Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC), which recognized the Chinese city for the first time, the Internet Daily reported.

With the prize awarded to Shanghai on Wednesday, we want to promote diversity, social inclusion and equality, security and cooperation. Last year, Stockholm received the recognition.

The Smart City Expo World Congress is held in Barcelona every November, but this year, due to the coronary virus pandemic, it was held in parallel with Barcelona and Shanghai and New York, partly online and partly live. (MTI)
