“Eat Cheese” – Movement for the development of the domestic cheese culture
The World Milk Day took place for the 39th time, this year in Kaposvár. The festival was rich in professional programs and in the professional performances as well.
Each year, the Milk Marketing Board Interprofessional Organization organizes the World Milk Day event, to raise awareness of the importance of milk consumption. In the last period the annual milk consumption per capita in Hungary decreased by 2-3 percent. Last year it was 155 to 160 kg / person / year. The Milk Marketing Board aims to increase this figure in a few years to around 200 kg / person / year.
