The Food Bank moves to its own warehouse

The Hungarian Food Bank Association, that is celebrating its eight birthday moves to its own warehouse base, thanks to the donation of the Heynderickx couple. The warehouse, located in the 17th District of Budapest will be able the provide the logistical background of the food donations in long terms.

8 years 7 offices and 8 warehouses: the administrative and logistical operations of the Food Bank Association was characterized by uncertainty so far. In the past, as a non-profit organization they could operate for a shorter or longer period of time with the support logistics companies. An own warehouses was among the dreams of the organization since its foundation.

The Hungarian Food Bank Association is operating since 2005. Since its founding the association distributed more than 30,000 tons of food via 500 charities and non-governmental organizations and local government to more than 500,000 needy people in a total value of more than 12 billion HUF.
