Lidl trials flexible full-time work model in Finland
According to the Confederation of Finnish Trade Unions, Lidl is testing a retail sector project on flexible full-time working in Finland. In Finland the share of part-time workers in the retail sector is about 60%; in grocery retail this proportion is around 80%. Flexible full-time work is a model agreed in the collective agreement for the retail sector: an employee working less than 37.5 hours earns wages for the full month, and in exchange they take on so-called “flexi hours”.
