ADB has worsened this year’s growth forecast for developing Asian countries
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has slightly worsened its forecast for economic growth in emerging Asia-Pacific economies this year as another wave of the coronavirus pandemic has slowed recovery in some countries.
In their forecast released on Tuesday, ADB analysts predicted that the region comprising 46 developing countries in the Asia-Pacific region will grow by 7.2 percent this year and 5.4 percent next year. Compared to April, this year’s forecast was reversed by 0.1 percentage point, while next year it was raised by 0.1 percentage point. (MTI)
