The economic sentiment deteriorated in the euro area and in the European Union higher than expected in March.
According to the report released on Tuesday by the European Economic and Financial Affairs DG (EcFin), the Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI), reflecting consumers’ confidence in the economy, decreased to 112.6 points in March from the 114.2 points of the previous month. Analysts expected 113.4 points. (MTI)
