Investor sentiment in the euro area deteriorated in December

Significant deterioration in investor sentiment in the euro area
The euro area investor sentiment index fell to 13.5 points in December, the lowest since April this year, from 18.3 points in November, instead of the expected 15.9 points.
Among the components of the index, expectations for the next six months have improved slightly, but the assessment of the current environment has deteriorated significantly. The outlook for the outlook rose to 13.8 points from 13.3 points, while the outlook for the current situation fell to 13.3 points from 23.5 points. (MTI)
