Economic sentiment in the euro area and the EU deteriorated in August
Economic sentiment in Europe deteriorates according to a report by DG EcFin (Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs) of the European Commission published on Monday. The Economic Sentiment Index (ESI) fell by 1.5 points to 117.5 points in August from a record 119.0 points in July. The preliminary value of the index published a week ago was 117.9 points. (MTI)
