The German economic sentiment index has deteriorated
The German Economic Sentiment Index (ESI) fell 63.3 points from 79.8 points in June. The market expected less deteriorating data of 75.2 points for July.
However, the opinion of about three hundred institutional investors surveyed about the current situation in Germany improved significantly, jumping from minus 9.1 points in June to 21.9 points, falling into positive territory for the first time after 23 months. Experts expected a 5.5-point July indicator. (MTI)
