Declining economic sentiment in Europe
Economic sentiment declined in the euro zone and in the European Union in March for the third consecutive month.
According to the report issued by the European Union’s Economic and Financial Affairs (ECFIN) the economic sentiment index (ESI) for the euro area declined by 0.9 points, from the 103.9 points of February to 103.0 points. Analysts expected a slight decline of 0.1 percent. The EU’s Economic Sentiment Indicator decreased from 105.3 points to 104.6 points. (MTI)
