Consumer sentiment in the United States deteriorated in January
Consumer sentiment in the United States deteriorated to a greater extent than previously reported due to concerns about high inflation.
The consumer sentiment index fell from 70.6 points in December to 67.2 points in January, according to the final data from the University of Michigan’s regular monthly survey released on Friday. The preliminary figure for January reported in the middle of the month was higher at 68.7 points. (MTI)
