Consumer sentiment in the United States deteriorated
The consumer sentiment index fell from 70.6 points in December to 68.8 points in January, according to non-final data from the University of Michigan’s monthly survey, released on Friday. On average, analysts ’expectations showed a less deteriorating indicator of 70 points for January.
Among the sub-indices, the indicator of consumer expectations for the next six months decreased from 68.3 points to 65.9 points, and the value of the sub-indicator reflecting the current situation decreased from 74.2 points to 73.2 points. (MTI)
