The consumer sentiment in the euro area and in the EU also deteriorated in September
The confidence of consumers in the euro area and in the European Union has also deteriorated in September, according to a preliminary estimate published by the European Commission on Thursday.
The sentiment index dropped by 1.0 points to minus 2.9 in the eurozone, which has been the worst since May 2017.
Analysts expected minus 2.0 points after August’s minus 1.9 points.
In the 28 Member States of the European Union, consumer confidence index has fallen by 1.0 points to minus 2.8 points. (MTI)
