Consumer sentiment deteriorated in the euro zone and in the EU as well
Consumer confidence deteriorated in February in the euro zone and in the European Union – according to the European Commission's preliminary flash estimate that was published on Friday.
The sentiment index fell by 2.5 points to minus 8.8 points in the 19 euro zone countries. Analysts expected minus 6.7 points.
In the 28 member states of the European Union the situation is slightly better: the sentiment index decreased from minus 4.2 points by 2.4 points to minus 6.6 points in January. (MTI)
