Consumer confidence deteriorated in the world's largest economy
Deterioration in consumer confidence occured in October in the US economy, according to the sentiment index of the Conference Board research firm released on Tuesday.
The October index decreased to 98.6 points from the 103.5 points of September.
The assessment of the current state of the economy decreased from 127.9 points to 120.6 points, while the consumer expectations sub-index decreased from 87.2 points to 83.9 points. (MTI)
