Deteriorating business sentiment in Germany
Contrary to the expectations, the business sentiment deteriorated in Germany in March, partly due to the uncertainty caused by the Japanese earthquake and tsunami, partly because of the expected interest rate increase of the European Central Bank – shows the datas of ZEW Economic Research Institute.
The overall business sentiment index reflecting on the expectations of the next six-months, fell by 14.1 points from the 15.7 points of February, while analysts' expected a stagnation, compared to February. Thus the index remains well below the 26.7 points historical limit – reports MTI.
