Hungarian SMEs calculate with a deteriorating financial situation
The K&H SME confidence index, which gives an overview of the mood and economic expectations of the Hungarian SME sector, has fallen again, according to data from the second quarter of 2025.

It currently stands at -14 points on a scale ranging from -100 to +100. Although this is only a 1-point drop compared to the previous quarter, it is clear that this is the third consecutive period of decline in a year. As regards the different sectors, only the retail trade index increased (from -17 points), but at -13 points it is still rather negative. Over the past year business leaders planned for an average profit of 4%.
