One of the largest Polish travel agencies is expanding in Romania
One of the largest Polish travel agencies, Rainbow Tours, is expanding in Romania, economica.net reports.
The Polish company signed a preliminary agreement on Thursday to merge with Paralela 45 travel agency. Rainbow Tours will hold two-thirds of the shares in the new company, while the current owners of Paralela 45, the Burcea family, will hold one-third. The Burcea family will continue to be responsible for the operational management of the new travel agency.
“We will add to our portfolio the exotic destinations of Rainbow Tours and various cruises in Poland. (…) At the same time, we will bring Polish tourists to Romania, not only to the beach, but also to cruises and spas for relaxation,” said Alin Burcea, founder and CEO of Paralela 45.
Rainbow Tours, founded in 1990 in Lodz, is one of the largest Polish travel agencies. The company, listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since 2007, has more than 100 branches in Poland and its sales revenue in 2024 was approximately EUR 925 million. Rainbow Tours is also present in the Turkish, Czech, Spanish, Lithuanian and Greek markets. In Greece, it also operates a hotel chain under the White Olive brand.
