SABMiller Gains Control Of Romanian Brewer

Brewing giant SABMiller has acquired a 71% stake in local brewer Bere Azuga, producer of Azuga and Valea Prahovei beers.
The deal was conducted through
SABMiller’s local unit Ursus Breweries. Bere Azuga has only a
single brewery near Brasov, Transylvania. The company has an
estimated market share of 0.6%. The deal requires regulatory
approval.
