The number of guest nights increased by almost a third in Romania
In Romania, the number of guest nights increased by 31.9 percent to 4.715 million in the first five months of this year, compared to the same period of last year, the Romanian National Statistics Institute said on Friday.
The number of guest nights spent by domestic tourists increased by almost 50 percent, while the number of guest nights spent by foreigners decreased by almost 53 percent during the period under review.
The number of tourists arriving at commercial accommodations also rose 36 percent to 2.468 million. The number of Romanian guests increased by 53 percent, while the number of foreign guests decreased by almost 56 percent to 126,300. (MTI)
