The number of guest nights fell by almost 44 percent in January in Romania
The number of guest nights spent by domestic tourists fell by 35.4 percent to 839,900, while that of foreign tourists fell by 83.9 percent to 44,400.
The number of tourists arriving at commercial accommodation establishments decreased by 39.6 percent to 480,900, of which 461,700 were domestic guests, whose number was 31 percent lower than in January last year. The number of foreigners fell much more drastically, by 85 percent, to 19,200. Romanian tourists spent an average of 1.8 nights in commercial accommodation, while foreigners spent 2.3 nights. (MTI)
