The pandemic affected tourism in Romania badly
The pandemic has also sent tourism to Romania on the floor, where the number of guests and guest nights halved last year, compared to the previous year. Different regions of Transylvania were particularly affected by the restrictions.
Official data have confirmed the shocking impact of the coronavirus pandemic on tourism in Romania. The number of guests and guest nights in commercial accommodation establishments in the country halved in the first eleven months of last year. According to recently released data, the number of guest nights fell 51 percent to 13.819 million from 28.178 million, from a year before. (Rostás Szabolcs, Kolozsvár, vg.hu)
