The world's largest vegetables salad was prepared in Romania
The world's largest vegetable salad was prepared on Sunday in Pantelimon, near Bucharest. The 19-ton world record was certified as a record by the representative of the Guinness Book of Records with a truck scale.
The extra large salad contains six tons of tomatoes, four tons of cucumbers, four tons of green salad and 1-2 tons of onions, carrots and peppers. The vegetables were washed and sliced by more than one thousand volunteers. Except the green salad, all vegetables were domestic products. 800 liters of olive oil was used to flavor the salad and four tons of salt was used. (Baranyi László, MTI)
