Retail sales grew 7.2 percent in Romania, in the first five months of this year
In Romania, according to raw data, the volume of retail sales increased by 7.2 percent in the first five months of this year, compared to the same period of last year – the Romanian National Statistical Institute announced on Thursday.
According to the seasonally and calendar adjusted data, the expansion was 7.1 percent.
The increase in raw data was mainly due to a 10.1 percent increase in non-food sales. Sales of fuel increased by 6.6 percent in the period under review, while sales of food increased by 4.7 percent. (MTI)
