Retail sales grew 5.5 percent in the first quarter in Romania
According to raw data, the volume of retail sales in Romania increased by 5.5 percent in the first quarter of this year compared to the same period last year, the Romanian National Statistical Institute announced on Wednesday. According to the seasonally and calendar-adjusted value, the increase was 8 percent.
According to raw data, the increase was mainly due to a 9.8 percent increase in fuel sales, a 7 percent increase in sales of non-food products and a 1.7 percent increase in sales of food, beverages and tobacco products. (MTI)
